The Lee County Early Head Start Program is a high-quality child development program for infants, toddlers and pregnant women. The intent of the program is to enhance children’s development and health, strengthen family and community partnerships, and support the staff delivering those services. Services are provided to meet the special needs of children with disabilities.
Families will be served in one of the three service models:
The center-based program option provides a developmentally appropriate, licensed, child care experience for infants and toddlers. Early Head Start classrooms have eight children in each room with two credentialed teachers.
The Early Childcare Partnership serves children in a licensed center-base program which could be at a partner community site or with a licensed family childcare home. This program is designed to support working families.
