Application Information

 Thank you for contacting the Early Childhood Learning Services. The information included below answers many questions you may have about the application process.

The application period for the next school year (22-23) begins January 18, 2022. Families will be able to complete an online pre-application on our website: https://eclc.leeschools.net/

You may complete the pre-application. 

A Family Advocate will set up an appointment with you at the school choice site location to complete the application process.

 

Completing this pre-application does NOT mean you have been accepted into the program.

 

Qualifying Requirements:

  • Head Start is a classroom-based program.
    • Children must be 4 years old by September 1.
    • Family must meet the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines or child must have a disability with an Individualized Education Plan.
  • Early Head Start is an infant toddler program.
    • Home-based and Center-based options are available for Lee County.
    • Children must be between the ages of birth and thirty months (0-30).
    • Pregnant women may also apply.
    • Family must meet the income guidelines or child must have a disability with an IFSP.

DOCUMENTATION NEEDED TO APPLY

  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Income (last four weeks for all family members including child support, TANF, and SSI) or 1040 tax return (2021)
  • Custody Papers if not the natural parent
  • Proof of pregnancy is required.
